Adult Learners
Lourdes serves students who reflect a wide range in age, educational background,
and experience. Our community is strengthened by the presence of students who have been
in the workforce or attended other universities.
Lourdes operates on a rolling admission policy. When all credentials for your application
have been received, your Admissions Coordinator will review the file and notify you in writing
within two weeks.
Adult Learner Admission Requirements
Please read this page carefully before submitting your application. Qualified applicants are
admitted regardless of gender, race, color, age, veteran status, ethnic origin or physical ability.
The credentials of each applicant are individually evaluated, with consideration given to academic
record, and evidence of motivation of college studies. The college reserves
the right to deny admission to any applicant.
Students with no prior college credit
- If you have been out of high school for 5 years or more and have no prior college credit,
please submit a completed Application for Admission and an official high school transcript.
Students who have completed and passed the GED
- Lourdes College recognizes students who have taken and passed the GED test as being
prepared to begin college. To apply for admission, submit a completed Application for Admission
and a copy of your GED test scores.
Students with previous college credit
- If you have prior college credit, you are considered a transfer student (please follow
the same steps outlined under Transfer Students). Individuals who have experienced academic
